Ahoy Shipmates,

At last we have had a sunny day! We had a slingshot ride up the coast from Botany Bay last night, and were at anchor in Watsons Bay by 2200. We remined in our sea watches overnight, and finished up some personal devlopment activities.

This morning after morning brief we turned to for a HUGE set of cleaning stations - in particular we are getting the brasswork on deck cleaned up for the ship's 20th birthday party on Friday night. After happy hour, the pool was opened and the swing rigged so that we could have a swim. The serious work then began after lunch - we took the ship to sea under sails alone, and once outside the heads, we conducted demonstration tacks, where the youth crew get to see how the ship is tacked from the bridge. This was followed by Captain's setting and furling drills, where the YC were all assessed on thier ability to safely conduct the deck work they need to know for Command Day, which is tomorrow. We are good to go with plenty of Piratetitude\!

Overnight tonight we will make the passage to Cowan Creek in Broken Bay, where we will anchor tomorrow morning early in readiness for command day. The team are all fired up, and are jockeying for position in the forthcoming elections. I can't wait to find out how it all goes!

Until tomorrow, shipmates,

Yours Aye
