At sea in Spencer Gulf off Tumby Bay,wind southerly at 15 knots, temp 21C
Current situation at 1800:

Today brought great weather, open water and relief from constant tacking - or so we thought. In the morning I gave the YC a presentation on sail theory and after lunch and a much needed and
awaited siesta we did something totally different -we tacked four more times.

This time it was out of learning and not necessity. The YC witnessed the ship going through the intricate motions of tacking and are gradually developing a better understanding of the ship.

Tonight they will go through an important teamwork exercise on our way through a group of islands leading to Port Lincoln.
