Ahoy shipmates and greetings from a windy Mackay. After a restful night at anchor in Refuge Bay, Scawfell Island, we made the 4 hour dash to Mackay Marina in windy and rough conditions.
Ahoy shipmates...Command Day part 2...and I'm still taking it easy. Safely at anchor Scawfell Island, Mackay tomorrow for the Community Day Sail...now over to the former Command Team.
Ahoy shipmates...Command Day is upon us and at 1000 this morning I handed over the ship to the Youth Crew Captain Alex and his team. You know what that means...I'm on holidays (well sort of)!
Ahoy shipmates...Day 7...the penultimate day before Command Day! Noting the efforts of our scribes below, I'll be brief. Suffice to say...another awesome night/morning under sail.
Ahoy shipmates. Day 6...another very busy day in YE.
Ahoy shipmates. Well after 3 nights under sail we are finally at anchor on the north western side of Great Keppel Island.
Ahoy shipmates...Day 4...another very enjoyable day under sail! Now that we are inside the Great Barrier Reef conditions have moderated somewhat...much to the relief of the youth crew.
Ahoy shipmates...day 3...a bit bouncy with plenty of breeze. The strong south easterly winds have persisted overnight and during the day making for some outstanding sailing conditions.
Ahoy shipmates and welcome to Voyage 7/19.
