Voyage 11/06 commenced at 1600 alongside HMAS CAIRNS Navy Base. After saying good bye to family and friends we departed the wharf to anchor in Cairns rivulette over night. Ships tours and a few quick briefs out of the way, it was time to start climbing the mast! After a long night it was time to go to bed before a long day the next day.

Tuesday awoke to find the promised warm weather of the tropics, but with a threatening sky. After an entertaining morning brief, it was time to get into line handling and deck safety. This done, we weighed anchor and proceeded out of the channel to set some sails and get the wind in our faces.

All going well the rain will stay away!
