Achim Drescher is a Former Managing Director and Chairman of Columbus Line Australia. Presently Achim is a Non-executive Director of Adsteam Marine Ltd, Leighton Holdings Ltd, Leighton Contractors Pty Ltd, Sword Securitisation Ltd and Vice President of the Australian German Association Inc. In 1997 Mr Drescher was awarded the 'Cross of the Order of Merit' by the Federal Republic of Germany. He is a graduate of the University of Hamburg, Germany.

Stephen Moss’ appointment as the Executive Director of the Young Endeavour Youth Scheme in 2004 followed a lengthy and distinguished career in the Royal Australian Navy. He has a strong seamanship background and qualified as a mooring and salvage officer, marine accident investigator and naval harbour pilot. Following his posting to Fleet Headquarters as the Fleet Seamanship Officer, he was appointed Executive Officer and later, Commanding Officer of the amphibious transport ship, HMAS Kanimbla. Following this, his final sea posting, he was appointed to the staff of the Australian Navy Amphibious & Afloat Support Group. With his promotion to Commander in 2001, he undertook duties as the Staff Officer of Capability Performance & Improvement and Deputy Commander of the Group. He was awarded the Conspicuous Service Cross in the 2002 Australia Day Honours List for his contribution to the Australian Defence Force's Amphibious and Afloat Support capabilities. As the Executive Director of the Youth Scheme, Stephen is actively involved with the Australian Sail Training Association and is its international representative. He is a graduate of the RAN Staff College, holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Graduate Diploma of Environmental Law.

Rear Admiral Nigel Coates is the Fleet Commander and commands the Royal Australian Navy’s fleet of 58 ships and submarines, 50 aircraft and some 6500 officers and sailors. He is responsible to the Chief of Navy for maintenance of Navy’s operational standards and is the principal adviser to the Chief of Navy on all maritime aspects of Australian Defence Force operations.

Marcus Blackmore was born in Queensland in 1945, educated at the Church of England Grammar School in Brisbane, and later gained a Naturopathic Diploma from the NSW College of Naturopathic Sciences. He served from 1969-1971 as an Officer in the Australian Army with service in Vietnam. Marcus is currently the Executive Chairman of Blackmores Ltd, a public company employing over 400 people in Australia, New Zealand and Asia. The company markets the premium brand of vitamin and herbal products under the ‘Blackmores’ label and is widely recognised for its ethical practices and its treatment of staff. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Heart Research Institute, Director of the Young Endeavour Youth Scheme, Member of Maritime Ministerial Advisory Committee, Honorary Trustee of CEDA and Chairman of the Southern Cross University Foundation. He was awarded an AM in 1998 for service to business, industry and the community and was made an Honorary Doctor of Southern Cross University in 2006 for distinguished leadership in the complementary medicines industry in Australia. He is also the recipient of several other community awards. His interests include Farr 40 international sailing and he holds a helicopter pilot’s licence.
Suzanne Daniel is a Communication Consultant having worked as a journalist for the United Nations, ABC TV, the Sydney Morning Herald and the BBC London. She was awarded a Vincent Fairfax Fellowship in 2000 through the St James Ethics Centre, is a member of The Institute of Company Directors and now sits on the board of Hunter Hall International Limited. She counts sailing the roaring forties off the West Coast of Tasmania on board 'Defiance' in a voyage aimed at retracing the steps of Joshua Slocum as good preparation for parenting. She has three young children.

John Calvert-Jones is Chairman of Seafirst Australia Pty Limited, a family investment company. He was educated at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst and served with the British Army in Malaysia, West Germany and the United Kingdom. John was Chairman and Managing Director of Prudential-Bache Securities (Australia) and was a member of the Australian Stock Exchange for 23 years. John has served on several public and private company Boards and has had a long-term involvement with the philanthropic sector.

Ronald D. Fisher is Managing Director of Raytheon Australia and Vice-President of Raytheon International Inc. Previously he was the President Raytheon Canada, President International Operations for South Asia, Senior and General Manager of Raytheon's Australian Engineering and Construction business. Prior to joining Raytheon, Ron was General Manager of Rockwell's Australian Base Operations
