Damien was born in Seymour, Victoria, and joined the Royal Australian Navy in 1996 . He is a Mine Warfare Clearance Diving Officer, and has served in HMA Ships TOBRUK, LABUAN, IPSWICH and NORMAN, and with 4th Battalion Royal Australian Regiment (Commando), where he was awarded a Special Operations Command Commendation. Damien was promoted to Lieutenant Commander while commanding HMAS TARAKAN, and was appointed Captain of Young Endeavour in July 2010.

Matt grew up in Tasmania where he developed a passion for the outdoors. Matt loves to surf, wind surfing, sailing, diving, white water rafting, white water kayaking, bush walking, rock climbing and mountaineering. His current ambition is to ride from Singapore to Scotland on a motorcycle.

Joel joined Young Endeavour in January 2010 after taking a break from Navy and studying a Law Degree at University. While usually holding Navigational duties on the Bridge as a Watch Officer, every few voyages he jumps on deck as a Watch Leader. He grew up in Melbourne and currently lives in Sydney with his girlfriend Ebony.

Kim is the Communications Officer in Young Endeavour, and looks after the communications onboard. On the ship she holds Navigational duties as Watch Officer and from time to time as the Navigator. She has been in the Navy since 2007 and now lives in Sydney with her husband Kane and her two dogs, Champ and Princess. Kim enjoys cycling, motorbike riding, and hunting ghosts. Her full time hobby is convincing everyone she\'s awesome.

Tug joined Young Endeavour in January 2010 after a posting in Cairns where he was a Boarding Officer on Patrol Boats. He is the ship\'s Boatswain, managing the upperdeck maintenance of the ship. He is an expert when it comes to safety equipment. Tug grew up in Geelong, VIC, and is a devoted Hawthorn supporter. When not on a voyage, Tug spends his free time in Cairns with his wife Jo, and their two girls Sophie and Abbey.

Leon is the Senior Technical Officer onboard Young Endeavour. He is in charge of all technical maintenance and operation of machinery. Leon spent most of his youth around Redhead Beach, Sydney and Wagga. He now calls Sydney his home. His main interests are travel and fitness (the odd marathon).

Mick is our Second Engineer and takes pride in keeping the machinery such as engines, generators, refrigeration and domestic services in optimum working order. He joined the navy in 1997 and has served in Sydney, Cairns, and Darwin. Although born and raised in Victoria Mick now calls northern Australia home, where the weather is warm and the fish are big. He enjoys exploring remote parts of north Australia with his four wheel drive and tinny, fishing, camping and kite boarding.

Adrian joined the ship in February 2010 after serving 14 years in the Navy. His job onboard is to provide all meals and catering for the ships crew. When not working in the galley, he enjoys sunbaking and sailing with the youth crew on deck. Adrian enjoys trekking all over the world, and has recently completed the Inca Trail in South America. He is already planning his next holiday to Penang. He is a passionate Broncos supporter, and will support Queensland in just about anything.

Guv grew up in Port Adelaide, and joined the navy in 1993. He has travelled extensively with the navy and in his spare time to 50 countries in all. Guv loves walking his two pug dogs Geri and Del around his home in the beautiful central coast. He enjoys having a laugh and spoiling his friends with wonderful home cooking. He likes listening to music and some of his favourite bands are Abba, Pet shop boys, and Justin Bieber.

Michael or Squiz as he is affectionately known, started his chefs apprentice in Hamilton island in 1993. He then moved to Melbourne to work as a chef, and joined the navy in 2001. He met his beautiful wife in 1995, and they married in 2002. When not on a voyage, Squiz Lives in the mid north coast with his family, and loves fishing, surfing, cooking, and camping.

Dan is a Watch Leader onboard. When he is not on a voyage, he is in the office opening the envelopes, answering the phones and paying the bills. Dan grew up in sunny Mackay in Queensland with his parents and a younger sister. In his free time he loves to watch ONE HD Sports channel, eat Magnum Icecreams, then work them off at the gym. His sporting Idol is Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Carly joined the ship in May 2010 and has been in the Navy for eight years as a Communications and Information Systems sailor. She has recently married the love of her life, and spends her voyages off in Canberra with Leigh. They love the beach, and enjoy snowboarding in winter. She grew up in Adelaide, and is a passionate Crows supporter.
