Who makes the Young Endeavour all happen? It's quite a crew:
the board ship staff office staff

Murray's first contact with Tall Ships was as a Youth Crew member aboard Young Endeavour in 2000 and has been involved with Tall Ship's ever since. He fell in love with Tall Ships and the program offered by Young Endeavour and was keen to stay involved in the maritime life. Shortly after his initial voyage as Youth Crew, he began working for the HM Bark Endeavour Foundation as the Crew Manager for the Endeavour Replica until 2002 when she sailed to the UK. Following this Murray began working for the Australian Public Service before an opening in the Young Endeavour Youth Scheme saw him return to where it all started. Murray has been with the scheme since 2004 and acts in his primary role as the Youth Development Officer. In that time Murray has become a qualified Watch Leader and served on both the ship and the office.

Amy joined the Young Endeavour Youth Scheme in 2005 and she looks after marketing the scheme.

Kirsten joined the team in June 2007, having escaped the public servant mecca of Canberra. Kirsten looks after the finance and business aspects of the YEYS, so if you are late paying, she will be the one harassing you. Kirsten completed a voyage from Bundaberg to Brisbane in August 2007. She had a great time but it is lucky she is a bean counter, because she was useless at sailing!!

Blue joined the Young Endeavour office as a part-time Reserve position helping the Voyage Coordinator manage the workload for the youth crew throughout the year.

Vicki joined the YEYS team in September 2006 from the sunshine capital of Bris-Vegas Baby! Vicki helps Kirsten look after the finance and admin aspects of the office and she is more than likely the first person you speak to when you call the 1800 number. Vicki sailed on the Young Endeavour from Burnie to Hobart in October 2006 and absolutely froze, but loved every minute of it! She can't wait to get back onboard and is hoping for somewhere warmer next time...
