Ahoy Shipmates,

We have just sailed from the picturesque city of Nelson, where we
have just sprent an enjoyable overnight stay, getting the last
postcards away and having a good night's sleep before beginning our
passage to Eden.

On the way to Nelson we passed through the 60m wide French Pass,
which has tidal flows of up to eight knots through it. As we passed
through the narrow gap it was like white water rafting - in a tall
ship! Awesome!

This morning we cleared customs, and after \happy hour\" we sailed
from Nelson. This afternoon we had the navigation lecture, deck
games, and a prayer to brother Knutse the wind monk for favourable
winds for our voyage home.

We are now making nine knots under all fore and aft sails, with a
light easterly to help us on our way. It should be a great crossing
of the ditch...

Until tomorrow,

Yours Aye,

Chris
