LIGHT SWELLS / BEAUTIFUL SAILING DAY
PAST 24 HOURS
COMMAND DAY

IT WAS AN INTERESTING START TO THE DAY, WE WOKE UP NICE AND EARLY
(0630 TO BE EXACT) FOR OUR EMA. BREAKFAST WAS THE FIRST MEAL WE ATE PREPARED BY THE ELECTED CHEFS. WE CONTINUED ON WITH THE NORMAL EVERDAY MATTERS OF RUNNING THE SHIP: MORNING BREIF WAS ENTERTAINING AS ALWAYS, WITH A SPECIAL APPERANCE FROM 'BIG DADDY' MAKING EVERYONE SMILE.

THE MORNING ACTIVITIES CONSISTED OF COMPLETING TASKS HANDED OUT BY THE STAFF THE PREVIOUS DAY IN ORDER TO GAIN AS MANY CHALLENGE POINTS AS POSSIBLE FOR OUR DAY IN COMMAND. THE SPIDER WEB, HAMMOCK, MURAL AND BRASSO POLISHING ALL PROVED TO BRING US THE MAXIMUN POINTS.

AFTER ANOTHER WONDERFUL MEAL FOR LUNCH WE WEIGHED ANCHOR AND SET OFF OUT OF BROKEN BAY. 4 TACKS LATER WE WERE IN THE OPEN WATER BOUND FOR SYDNEY HABOUR VIA A SERIES OF NUMEROUS CHECK POINTS.

DINNER WAS OF ITALIAN THEME, MOST PEOPLE MADE THE EFFORT TO COME IN SOMETHING ITALIAN. NORMAL WATCHES WERE KEPT AND DURING THE UNGODLY HOURS OF THE NIGHT WE MADE 4 TACKS LEAVING EVERYONE EXCEPTIONALLY TIRED. WE WERE ON TARGET TO ARRIVE AT SYDNEY BY 0730 HOWEVER A DRAMATIC WIND CHANGE ALTERED ALL THIS AND WE ARRIVED AT THE SLIGHTLY LATER TIME OF 0800.

IT WAS A GREAT LOAD OFF OUR SHOULDERS TO HAND THE SHIP BACK, HOWEVER WE HAVE ALL LEARNT MANY LESSONS FROM OUR EXPERIANCES AND WOULD NEVER GIVE UP THE CHANCE TO EXPERIANCE IT ALL AGAIN.

YOUTH CREW IMPRESSIONS

MATTHEW, CAMPBELLTOWN
THE YOUTH CREW HAVE BEEN FANTASTIC THROUGH SEA SICKNESS LATE NIGHTS AND COLLECTIVE EXPERIENCES. THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS ADVENTURE.

EMILY, GERALDTON WA
THIS TRIP HAS BEEN AN AWSOME EXPIRENCE, YESTERDAY WAS COMMAND DAY AND I WAS VOTED IN AS AN XO OF THE SHIP, WHICH PROVED TO BE AN EVENTFULL NIGHT. BUT THE BEST TIME OF ALL WAS CLIMBING ALOFT TODAY IN SYDNEY HARBOUR MAGIC...

ERIC, KERANG VIC
