Ahoy Me Hearties,
AAARRRGHHH! There has been much speakin' like a Pirate today....
Overnight we all had a relaxing night off alongside - but no let up! This morning we started at 0630 with Early Morning Activity, followed by breakfast, morning brief and happy hour. The team went ashore for coffee and mid-voyage talks (yes, we are half-way there already) followed by some free time off in Eden. We sailed at 1300, and since then we have been sailing under a full press up the NSW South Coast towards Jervis Bay at a good 5-6 knots.
This afternoon we had a sail theory lecture followed by demonstration tacks, where the YC take turns to witness a tack from the bridge. This evening is our last night at sea before command day, and everyone is putting in thier preferneces for the election tomorrow. In the morning we will have a communications exercise, followed by Captain's setting and furling drills. We should get alongside at HMAS CRESWELL early afternoon where we will play sport, have a BBQ and conduct our command day elections.
Until tomorrow, shipmates,
