Hi Everyone,

Welcome to day nine of our voyage. Following a good nights sailing the Youth Crew passed through their final waypoint then sailed the ship to its planned anchorage position in Largs Bay coming safely at 1100 this morning.

Once at anchor they completed what remaining tasks they could then handed the Ship back to the Staff Crew at 1430. With the ship safely back in the hands of the Staff the Youth Crew were stood down until l600 so that they could get some much needed sleep following a successful Command Day.

At 1600 we again re-grouped at midships where we conducted a facilitated Command Day debrief which was followed by another entertaining round of rope races. Once finished we all pitched in and rigged the ships awning to give us maximum shade for the final days of the voyage as we are expecting some warm weather.

It was ‘Rib Night’ on Young Endeavour this evening with Chef Zac serving up some wonderfully flavoured Beef and Pork Rib’s and some Cajun Chicken and fresh Blue Fin Tuna for those that don’t eat red meat. Once we had cleaned up for dinner it was straight into a 12 berth dance party while we wait for it to get dark so that we can screen the classic tall ship movie ‘Around Cape Horn’ which will be our final activity of the evening.

Early tomorrow morning we will weigh anchor and transit up the Port Adelaide River where we will berth at Dock 2 at the Inner Harbour and embark our guests for our 3hr Community Day Sail which I am sure will be enjoyed by all.

Until tomorrow evening, take care

Yours Aye

Captain Gav
