At anchor off Semaphore, Adelaide.
Wind light and variable, temp - a balmy 24C.
Current situation at 1800:

We had a great Easter in Adelaide celebrating during the Encounter 2002 festival and seeing our friends in the other Tall Ships in port - it certainly was a great gathering.

Now we are focussed on our next Voyage from Adelaide to Adelaide and this should be a special one because we will participate in the Encounter Festival activities in Victor Harbour next weekend.

Our Youth Crew (YC) joined early today and we sailed as a huge group of onlookers waved goodbye.

Now we are at anchor and the YC are getting to know their ship and shipmates. Polly, the Master Pizza Maker, cooked a great meal and we are now ready to go climbing and knot tying.

My champion team for this Voyage are as follows: Nath - XO, Mhanda - swimgirl, boatgirl, Eddie (his 48th and last Voyage) - White Watch Leader, Barry - Red WL, Karen - Blue WL, Rags - Engineer,
Polly - pizza maker.

Welcome to Chris Hirst who joins us from the UK (Yorkshire to be precise) and is on exchange for the next two Voyages as part of the Australian- UK Sail Training Association Annual exchange of young tall ship sailors between the two countries. Welcome Hirsty, CJ...

Stay tuned,

Andrew Davis
