ANCHORED AT JERVIS BAY PROVIDED A GREAT BREAK AND AN OPPORTUNITY TO GO ASHORE TO ENJOY BEACH SPORTS AND THOSE WHO WERE MORE DARING A QUICK SWIM. ONCE ONBOARD THE 'TEAK DECK BBQ' WAS HELD BELOW DECKS DUE TO THE INCLEMENT WEATHER. IMMEDIATELY AFTERWARDS THE FAMOUS TALL SHIP QUIZ WAS CONDUCTED WITH WHITE WATCH TAKING LINE HONOURS.

CAPTAIN IRVINS JOHNSON ACCOUNT OF ROUNDING CAPE HORN ON THE RENOUWNED PEKING WAS SCREENED FOR ALL TO ENJOY BEFORE CLOSING UP ON HOURLY ANCHOR WATCHES OVERNIGHT. EARLY MORNING YOUNG ENDEAVOUR DEPARTED THE ANCHORAGE AND MOTOR SAILED NORTH DUE TO THE LIGHT AIRS. ALL WELL AND RESTED.

SITTING 100 FT ABOVE THE DECK ON THE FOREMAST, ANCHORD AT ROSE BAY AND LOOKING ACCROSS TO THE HARBOUR BRIDGE AT NIGHT, WAS AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE. WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE IT. APART FROM HOLDING ON IT FEELS LIKE YOU DON'T HAVE A CARE IN THE WORLD.

BEN, WARRAGUL
