Ahoy there everyone,
Welcome to day six, the morning commenced at 0700 with another rousing tune this time from Red Watch which heralded in a new day motor sailing across the Tasman Sea and in sight of Eden. During the early hours of the morning the Victorian/New South Wales border was crossed as the sea slowly abated.
The ship anchored in Snug Cove shortly after breakfast and with the standard forenoon routine complete some down time was taken before lunch. Directly after lunch all Youth Crew and Watch Leaders were transferred ashore via the sea boat to explore the Eden Whale Museum. Each watch then discussed mid voyage talks where individual and collective progression was evaluated against the day one goals and revised for the second half of the voyage. A sports activity was conducted ashore prior to returning to the ship for the next round of rope races.
Dinner consisted of a teak deck BBQ cooked by the Captain and dining al fresco. Climbing aloft consolidation was continued after which the Youth Crew settled into anchor watches overnight.
The intention is to remain at anchor overnight and weigh at 0700 recommencing our passage north along the New South Wales south east coast.
