A FABULOUS AFTERNOON ON THE BEACH AT GREAT KEPPEL ISLAND. EVERYONE ENJOYED THE BEACH GAMES, SWIMMING, SNORKLING AND JUST CHILLING OUT UNDER THE BEAUTIFUL CLEAR SKY. ONCE ONBOARD 'MAC' THE ULTIMATE TALL SHIP CHEF PREPARED A FEAST FOR THE 'TEAK DECK BBQ'. AFTER SUNSET ALL YOUTH CREW PARTICIPATED IN THREE WAY TALKS. AN ACTIVITY DESIGNED TO ENCOURAGE PUBLIC SPEAKING IN A FRIENDLY SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT. OVERNIGHT ALL YOUTH CREW KEPT HOURLY ANCHOR WATCH TRICKS IN GROUPS OF THREE TO PROVIDE GREATER OUT OF WATCH INTERACTION. THE SHIP SAILED AWAY FROM THE ANCHORAGE AND SET ALL FORE AND AFT SAILS AND TACKED TO
CLEAR GREAT KEPPEL. FANTASTIC SAILING CONDITIONS.

YOUTH CREW IMPRESSIONS

RENEE TASMANIA
WONDERFUL AFTERNOON YESTERDAY AT GREAT KEPPLE ISLAND AFTER A COUPLE OF HARD WORKING DAYS WITH LITTLE SLEEP, WE EVEN HAD WILD ROSSELLAS EATING FROM OUR HANDS. GREAT DAY FOR FISHING BUT IT SEEMED THEY ALL WERE THE ONES THAT GOT AWAY.

NATHAN (SHADDY) VICTORIA
GREAT KEPPEL ISLAND WAS A REAL TREAT FOR THE NIGHTS ANCHORAGE.
LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS INCREASING OUR SKILLS AT SETTING THE SAILS LEADING UP TO COMMAND DAY WHEN WE'RE IN CHARGE OF THE YOUNG ENDEAVOUR.

SAM TASMANIA
TO SAIL FOR A FEW DAYS WITH LITTLE SLEEP WAS A REAL STRUGGLE BUT TO BE GREETED WITH THE PARADISE THAT GREAT KEPPEL ISLAND PROVIDED WAS A REAL HIGHLIGHT AND WELL WORTH THE EFFORT. TRAVELLING THROUGH THE TROPICAL WATERS OF NORTHERN QUEENSLAND IS FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE AND I LOOK FORWARD TO EXPLORING MORE OF THE AMAZING SURROUNDINGS.
