Good evening everyone, Today we berthed at Cunningham Pier in Geelong to embark 30 disabled people with their carers from the Mackillop Family Services and karingal Group. We set then sail around the Bay with the Youth Crew doing an excellent job hosting our guests. It was a great opportunity to give back to the community and for a lot of the Crew it was a highlight of the Voyage. Once alongside again and with our guests disembarked, the Youth Crew proceeded ashore to undertake their end-of-Voyage talks. On return to the Ship later in the day it was time to harbour furl (tidy away) the square sails - a demanding task that the Youth Crew accomplished well. On completion we enjoyed a pizza night on deck with more of Marcos' brownies - have put on a few kilos this Voyage! We then went to anchor and had a brilliant slide show put together by the Youth Crew. Prior to turning-in for the night, the Youth Crew completed Voyage critiques while the Staff Crew progressed the usual administration associated with running a Voyage. Tomorrow we proceed alongside to end our Voyage. It has been a pleasure and honour to have led this Voyage and thank you for following us - your support is crucial to our success. All the very best - Dave J, Voyage Captain
