STANDARD VOYAGE FEE
The Standard Voyage via the ballot (11-days) fee via ballot is $1650 (including GST) and must be paid 4 weeks before your voyage. All meals and accommodation is included. For participants from WA and NT the voyage fee is $1450, based on a $200 long distance travel subsidy.
A 20% non-refundable deposit must be paid following selection to confirm your berth and the balance of your voyage fee must be paid 4 weeks prior to the voyage start date. Please note that your invoice will include a due date which may differ to the time frames listed above. Invoices will need to be paid by the due date listed on the invoice. Please note that due to our administrative requirements we are unable to accept American Express (AMEX) credit cards.
Also please note that cheques or money orders can be made out to the "Young Endeavour Youth Scheme"
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
If you cannot afford the voyage fee you can apply for Financial Assistance. Financial Assistance is offered for a limited number of applicants who are unable to afford the voyage fee. You cannot request financial assistance after the ballot has been held.
To be eligible for Financial Assistance, you must:
* Be receiving a benefit from Centrelink such as Newstart Allowance or Austudy. If you are under 18 and living at home with a parent who receives a Centrelink benefit such as a Supporting Parent Benefit or Disability Support you may also be eligible.
* Attach a short letter to your application form explaining your reasons for requesting financial assistance.
* You must attach supporting information from Centrelink as proof of your financial circumstances, such as an Income Statement available from Centrelink.
If you are successful in receiving a financial assistance ballot position, you will be invoiced for $500 for the voyage and you must meet all your travel costs to and from the ship. For those participants in WA and NT applying for financial assistance, your voyage fee will be $300 based on a $200 long distance travel subsidy.
